photo of the week

Thanks, Patricia Ann!

The bright pink azalea blooms are from plants planted in the Chez Dempsey front yard during our occupancy of the residence (we are the second).  I cannot claim credit for these poesies.  That acknowledgement goes to Patricia Ann, aka Pat, my beloved spouse.  Thank you ma’am.

Azaleas

Pine Buff, Arkansas

Seems like it was overnight.

The abundant azalea bushes in our neighborhood have been full of the spindly buds that make the magnificent blooms for a few weeks now.  We’ve been waiting for the explosion of color, which was agonizingly progressing at snail's pace.  Then all of a sudden zippity-doodah, there they are.  We are taking you up-close and personal with these splendid blooms.

Seeing them from a car window is not enough and we are not captioning the pictures.  The blooms speak for themselves.  The first four are ours.  The last three we inherited from the former owners.

After all, is it possible to see too many azaleas? It is analogous to too much chocolate.  Click go and enjoy.
