Wie geht's?
The Planet Deutsch webmistress sends greetings to all our readers. I recently received a postcard from Berlin. UCA instructor Ted Diaz and his daughter have been on a grand tour of the Old World. Anyone else been out of the homeland this summer?
More Biographies on the Weimar Site.
I've been doing some "arm-chair" traveling myself this season, mainly to Berlin, where I discovered a very charming and erudite persona, Count Harry Kessler. You can read a brief biography about him on the Weimar Biographical Glossary.
I've also been singing a few tunes from Die Dreigroschen Oper, and B.B. kindly offered me a role in a Post-modern production set for 2028. Of course, I would recap my role as Seeräuber-Jenny. I've just been introduced to Mary Wigman and Gabriele Münter, so look for their bios soon.
Alex gave me a CD of Die phantastische Vier Unplugged before he left, and they are truly "phantastisch." It's a great mix of hip hop, house, jazz, alternative, and best of all, one can pick up the German lyrics easily. I do recommend it for your easy summer listening.
