Another week begins at the home of Planet Deutsch. What's in store for visitors to the home world?
There's good news for Doctor Langston's German 2320. The Vocabulary Aids for Chapter 19 have been posted. Der deutsche Verein meets again on Tuesday this week to learn about music, and Frau Bowles will add some information about pronunciation to the Learning Resources page.
Der deutsche Verein.
Der deutsche Verein met for the first time last week and discussed the calendar for this semester. The first event will be eine Reise nach Hot Springs, a trip to Hot Springs, to have dinner at the Brauhaus Restaurant on Thursday, February 12. On Tuesday of this week, January 27, we will meet again in Irby 204 during x-period to talk about German music and watch a German music video. We'll also walk over to the Student Center to have a group photo made for the Scroll.
Pronunciation Tips.
There's been quite a bit of discussion in German 1310 about native speaker vs. non-native speaker pronunciation of German. Frau Bowles will add some tips to the Pronunciation page in the Learning Resources site this week. Doctor Langston has created a clever piece on these pesky little dipthongs ei and ie. Stay tuned for updates this week.
