Planet Deutsch wishes you a warm welcome to the planet dedicated to the language and culture of the German-speaking world. Within our system, you can find information about your UCA German classes, the UCA German Club, biographies about figures from the Weimar Republic (our special passion), resources to help you learn German, and a bit of this and that.

The Trouble with Tribbles.

However, Planet Deutsch has experienced a little bit of trouble with tribbles. The only links alive today are the ones on the home page. If you explore the deeper levels, you will find some curious inactive links. Don't despair. We've called in the Webmaster to extricate those fuzzy little tribbles and have the system "in Ordnung" by September.

It's not farewell; it's just a hiatus for Frau Bowles and German 1310/1320. Due to circumstances beyond her control, Frau Bowles, a.k.a. Frau Freddie Freud, was recalled to her home world by the trans-dimensional ruler of WLAN. She sends her regrets and will be communicating with all students of German through cyberspace to Planet Deutsch.

Come Together Right Now.

Der deutsche Verein will meet for the first time on Tuesday, September 9, in Irby 204 during X-period (1:30-2:40 p.m.). The agenda includes plans for several outings and other events. Meetings are planned for every second and fourth Tuesday of the month.

A Trio of Native Speakers.

Three German students from Bielefeld are enrolled at UCA this semester: Carolin Brand, Anette Holrick, and Kai Roth. They have already visited Irby 207 and are looking forward to meeting German-language learners at UCA. Planet Deutsch extends "ein herzliches Willkommen" to these visitors from afar.
