The test includes the following sections: Vokabeln--ten matching and ten fill-in-the-blank paragraph from a word bank; Strukturen--five genitive, five "dieser" words, five two-way prepositions (change the article to accusative or dative), five questions with "Was für ein"; Lesen--eight questions about a breakfast scenario; Schreiben--two questions to answer about eating out and relaxing; Bonus--ten vocabulary from the website on Chapters 15 and 16.

Nächste Woche haben wir Frühlingspause. Wie werden Sie sich entspannen? Haben Sie vor, eine Reise zu machen? Plannen Sie etwas besonderes? Ich werde kurze Reise nach Fayetteville und Ost Arkansas machen, aber sonst nichts.
Am Montag schauen wir Folge 16 weiter an und korriegieren wir die Hausaufgabe vom Text. Am Mittwoch wiederholen wir Kapiteln 15 und 16 und am Freitag haben Sie die Prüfung.
Location vs. Movement.
German has an odd little quirk with prepositions. You can choose whether to use the accusative or the dative with nine special prepositions: an, auf, hinter, in, neben über, unter, vor, zwischen. But how do you decide which case to use? If there is no movement toward a destination, the idea is location and the question word wo is used. For example, Wo ist sie? Sie ist in der Stadt (Where is she? She is in the city.). However, if there is motion towards a specific destination, the idea is motion and the question word wohin is used. For example, Wohin geht er? Er geht in die Stadt (Where's he going? He's going into the city.). We will practice more of these on Wednesday.
