Who (and Why) We Are Reports from the Field Opinion, Observation, Commentary Learning, Teaching, Knowledge The Latest from Freddie Bowles

An exploration of Gnosis.

The first string. . . .

A twist of twine, a sliver of string, a round of rope, a cascade of cable. . . .  They bind, intertwine, loop, tie. The implication is one of connection. A string of pearls, a string of DNA, a string of cars, a string of breadcrumbs leading the way to a house of candy.

The Planet Gnosis "Strings" are unraveled bits of unanswered, unformulated questions as the new year 2005 tentatively extends its tentacles into cyberspace. We are looking for participants in a moderated discussion about "Gnosis," derived from the Greek word for "knowledge." According to our weighty tome, The American Heritage, 4th ed., gnosis is the "intuitive apprehension of spiritual truths." However, we prefer to ground our discussions on a more earthy and earthly dimension.

Blog Number One on the Planet Gnosis Homepage offered several questions for your contemplation. Have a look-see. If the divine moves you, send an E-mail to get this party started!
