Adjectives, Adverbs,
And Bonus Points.

The Bonus Point Challenge targets adjective word order. We defined adjectives and adverbs in class and discussed how they are used in a sentence. You have also practiced using adjective word order in descriptive sentences. Try your luck at earning some extra points by finding the mistakes in the Bonus Point Challenge sentences.

What's Up This Week?

On Monday, we will watch the video, I promise. We will also go over the grammar section on adverbs. On Tuesday we will discuss the poem A Navajo Blanket. We will also watch another video called Expectations of a Student. This is another lecture about academic life at the university. For both videos, I expect you to take notes. On Wednesday, we will have a brief review of the first section of Chapter One and on Thursday, you will have your first major test over this information.

Bonus Point Challenge.

E-mail your answers to freddieb@mail.uca.edu by Monday, September 15, by 10:00 a.m. for a chance to earn some extra points. You must rewrite the sentences using correct adjective word order. Correct any other errors in adjective use as well.
