Par Ecrit News.
The sections for Par Ecrit are designed to help you cover a grammatical point that will be used in the class or be on a quiz or test. You will be able to earn EIGHT points that will be a part of your homework grade. All of the assignments are from your textbook. We have already completed TWO Par Ecrit exercises. Here are the dates that the others are due:

Par Ecrit #7 (p. 189: ex. 10) due Wednesday, Nov. 19th
Par Ecrit #8 (p. 199: ex. 25-27) due Monday, Nov. 24th
All homework
is to be turned in
on the due date.
Any late homework
will be checked,
but not graded.
Workbook Reminder:
You have three options for turning in your writing and lab workbooks:
1. Write the answers on a separate sheet of paper.
2. Make photo copies of your work.
3. Tear out the pages of your workbook.
If anyone objects terribly to any of the three options above, please come and see me and I MIGHT make an exception. Remember: I have a total of 64 students in French 1310 and I am trying to avoid a hernia carrying your books to my office! Thank you!
Oral I
You will have your first oral during the week of October 13th. The orals will take place in my office and will last anywhere from 5 to 10 minutes. If you are terribly nervous and want to have the oral with a classmate, I will interview you both at the same time. Just remember that you are getting a grade based on YOUR individual performance and not that of your classmate. I will be handing out a sign-up sheet soon. There will be a list of varied days and times. If you cannot make any of those times, I will work with you to find a time for you to take your oral. I will also be handing out a list of some of the questions I will be asking you in random order. You should be prepared to answer any of the questions.
Midterm Grades
On October 15th I will be giving each of you a form with all of your grades and a grade point average. If you have any questions about your grade, you will need to see me in my office.
