We finally visited the planetarium and discovered we were far from home! Next time I will double-check the latitude before we start. Duh! It's no wonder I couldn't recognize that constellation....
I am looking forward to seeing Mars tomorrow night (September 6) through our telescope. I hope it will be clear and that many of you will attend. This will be a good opportunity to check out the constellation that you want to observe for your project.
Pay attention to the Moon during the next few days. Notice where it is located relative to the Sun, and what changes occur from day to day. We will start talking about moon phases and eclipses on Monday.
